In April 2025, PSB Air successfully delivered a mechanical services refurbishment for the Moss Vale Civic Centre in NSW. Commissioned by the Wingecarribee Shire Council and built by Trinity Fitout Constructions, the project required not only new air conditioning and ventilation systems, but also the re-engineering of an existing installation to ensure compliance, efficiency, and longevity.
This project highlights PSB Air’s ability to adapt live environments, redesign outdated systems, and deliver solutions that extend the operational life of critical infrastructure.
Unlike a clean-slate installation, the Moss Vale Civic Centre required PSB Air to:
PSB Air’s engineering and on-site coordination transformed challenges into a streamlined outcome:
The outcome was a refurbished civic centre with a modernized HVAC system that:

The Moss Vale Civic Centre project demonstrates PSB Air’s strength in retrofitting and upgrading HVAC systems in live environments. For councils, builders, and project managers, it proves that engineering expertise and adaptability can deliver better performance without unnecessary cost or disruption.
Looking to refurbish or re-engineer HVAC systems in your building? PSB Air brings the precision, problem-solving, and compliance needed for projects where efficiency and reliability cannot be compromised. Explore more of our projects here.
The project involved a full refurbishment using air-cooled VRF technology along with updated mechanical ventilation. These upgrades improved efficiency and helped modernise the system without requiring major structural changes.
Yes. All works were completed while the facility remained partially operational. Staged planning and careful coordination helped minimise disruption while delivering reliable air conditioning services.
PSB Air corrected faulty CO₂ sensors, reviewed ventilation performance, and ensured all upgrades met current mechanical and building standards, supporting a compliant air conditioning installation.
VRF air conditioning systems provide flexible zoning, stable temperature control and efficient performance. They are well suited to refurbishment projects because they improve comfort and reduce energy use without requiring extensive reconstruction.
Refurbishment allows key components to be upgraded or re-engineered, improving reliability and reducing running costs. It is often a practical alternative to air conditioning replacement, especially when the base system is still structurally sound.
